The Cherkovna Project in Sofia, Bulgaria is a prime example of Libart’s ability to deliver elegant and functional architectural solutions. Designed as a Skylight system with SolaGlide technology, this installation transforms outdoor spaces into adaptable environments that can be enjoyed year-round. The project features two custom units: one with a span of 2.84 meters and length of 3.83 meters across three bays, and another with a span of 2.80 meters and length of 3.06 meters across two bays. Both units incorporate advanced glazing technology, using 8 mm tempered solar Low-e 50/33 glass combined with 14 mm air space and 55.4 tempered laminated glass, ensuring superior thermal performance and durability.
Beyond its technical excellence, the Cherkovna Project integrates seamlessly with the Bticino smart home system, allowing effortless control and automation. Additional enhancements include internal and external shading options and the application of reverse PDLC film for dynamic privacy and light management. To guarantee precision during installation, custom shims and bitumen bands were provided, and the entire process was overseen by A&M Fifth Season LTD, ensuring compliance with Libart’s quality standards. Final adjustments, including glass fitting, motor calibration, and limit settings, were completed with meticulous attention to detail.
