Sweet Lake Wellness Centre in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, is a premium wellness destination combining spa, fitness, and hospitality under one roof. The café and restaurant zone at the heart of the facility required a roofing solution that could seamlessly bridge the gap between a fully enclosed indoor dining experience and an open-air atmosphere adapting to the Netherlands' variable climate without compromising on comfort or aesthetics.
Libart, in partnership with INOVA Outdoor Innovation B.V., delivered a SolaGlide Sliding Panel Roof spanning 10 m × 40 m (400 m²) — transforming the venue's restaurant and café area into a dynamic, all season space.
The SolaGlide system's motorized glass panels glide smoothly along the track, allowing the roof to open or close on demand. When retracted, guests enjoy the open sky and natural ventilation; when closed, the insulated glazing maintains a comfortable interior environment regardless of weather conditions. The system's clean architectural profile integrates naturally into the wellness centre's design language, reinforcing the sense of calm and sophistication that defines the Sweet Lake experience.
Sweet Lake is a demonstration of what the SolaGlide system makes possible at the highest end of hospitality not just a roof that opens, but a space that transforms.
